Montserrat, Spain

April 6, 2011

I got inspired to visit Montserrat when I read this blog post by Dutched Pinay. I immediately wanted to go! I made absolutely sure to include this sacred place on my itinerary.

It was really easy to get to Montserrat. We took the train from Barcelona and about an hour later arrived there. From the station, we took another cable car to go up the mountain. I got scared going up but after a few minutes I calmed down and just enjoyed the view.

I'm not religious but I was moved being inside the Basilica. It was so beautiful!

  1. Breathtaking photos. You have a gift, my friend!

Have you gotten a chance to go to Ronda, Spain? This reminds me of its opposite, the whole town with bit rocks towering over it. Ronda has big rocks with a town teetering on top. :)

  2. Thank you! I really like taking photos. My friends get annoyed that I take too many pictures..but oh well..I still do it.

I only went to Valencia, Madrid, and Barcelona. I will definitely come back to Spain some time soon and explore more of the country.

    I really really loved Spain!
