What I ate: New York City

April 10, 2011

I just came back from New York City to visit some lovely friends. It was so much fun but I am so tired from all the walking and partying!

I can't never get enough of NYC and I don't know why I always forget to visit more often. I mostly ate my way through the city and spent a lot of quality time with my friends.
Our first dinner was at Sea Restaurant in Williamsburg. The atmosphere was amazing and the good was really good except for the slow service.
Really good calamari with tamarind dipping sauce.
Pork chop had a lot of flavour.

I'm not a sandwich person but my friends really wanted to eat at Carnegie Deli so I tagged along.
I ordered sliders but I got 3 hamburgers instead. I was too overwhelmed by my meal that I never finished it.
The "Melo" sandwich. Too much meat for 1 person to eat but my friend was so close to finishing it. Man vs Food moment.

One of my friends, invited me to dinner at Ninja Restaurant. The restaurant was so much fun but the food was definitely not worth the money. It was overpriced!
Really expensive but bland rolls
The restaurant provided us with a lot of theatrics like having a magician perform tricks for us but other than that, nothing stands out from their menu.

Passion fruit mojitos were amazing!!! It felt like I was back in Cuba when I entered this venue. Live Cuban music was playing and everyone was having fun!

  1. Wow! That melo sandwich looks huge. I get a stomach ache just looking at it. (But my mouth waters a little, too.) Looks like a fun trip!

I know we just met, but I think you're blog is awesome and has great potential! I awarded you the one lovely blog award today!
