Life Update 2.0

November 9, 2016 Toronto, ON, Canada

Hello!!! I hope you're all doing well and had a good Halloween. I pretty much miss it every year since that's when I take my holidays. I don't mind it because I don't particularly like dressing up.

If you follow me on Instagram then you already know that I went to Hong Kong and Philippines. This was my second trip to Asia this year. This was my redeeming trip since I had a particularly bad one in Japan & Taiwan because I was ill.

This time around was amazing!!! I'm so glad I decided to go to Hong Kong because I love it there! I avoided to go there for some personal reasons and I am totally kicking myself now because I should have gone there sooner. But you can't rush fate so it's ok. It all worked out in the end.

I feel so energized being back! I have a lot of ideas and a lot of stories to tell.

It's always hard coming home after a really good trip but reality beacons. I did miss my bed and my couch but I don't miss cleaning up and doing laundry.

The plane ride back was rough though. The lady sitting beside me spilled her wine and splashed some on my shoes and my new bag! I couldn't even clean them until we all finished our meal. Thankfully, it mostly came off. I know it was an accident but she proceeded to get more red wine after it. I just kept praying she doesn't spill it again.

I barely slept this time around. I just couldn't get comfortable. I really try to like Air Canada but it's so hard. They serve the same food every time! No variation at all. I flew Cathay to Philippines and I didn't get the same meal twice. And they have more new movies! Like tons more! Air Canada has barely 15 new releases on a 14 hour flight!

What's your favourite airline?

  1. Cathay is best when it comes to service but I also prefer Southern China Airlines because they often offer low-prices international fares.

  2. Sounds like you had a good trip! I usually go with whichever airline is the cheapest but good food is a bonus. I quite like the food you get on Qantas, the Australian airline.

    1. You're so lucky! I only use Air Canada because of my points but totally re-thinking it now. Going to try to fly with a different airline next time for long haul.

  3. Can't wait to hear all of your stories, and yes I would not mind missing halloween either if it meant I was missing it in favor of travelling!

  4. Thanks for the comments on my blog! How cool we were in HK at the same time! I also just realized you are also from Toronto...& you also went to Italy earlier this year? I was there too a few months ago (Naples/Capri, Rome and Milan) lol such a coincidence.

Sorry to hear about the bad plane experience =\ I would have been horrified if that happened to me. I agree about Air Canada as well..

  5. I'm curious, what kept you from going to Hong Kong before, and what changed your mind?

    1. I blame it all on my boyfriend! And he is also the reason why I finally went. It was a really silly reasoning. I'm glad I'm over it ;)
