Nagoya Castle Garden

March 5, 2015

I love walking around the castle grounds. It was so quiet and I enjoyed photographing everything. My favourite is the first picture with the lady on the bike. A lot of people bike in Japan especially the older generation. I guess that's the key to their health!

I also loved the river view from the castle. Everything looks so tranquil.

Montreal Botanical - Japanese Garden

September 4, 2012

I can't believe it's already September. I have no idea where summer went. I really had no time to enjoy the nice weather because of work. Every year I have the same problem and by the time I start enjoying summer, it's gone. Oh well..until next year.

I can't possible complain too much as I went away for Labour day and I had lots of fun. I will post more of my time in Prince Edward County next week.

This is my last botanical post. No more nature overload. I did go crazy when I saw the sunflowers!!

We spent at least 3 hours walking around the botanical. I was exhausted half way through our exploration. It was a really hot day and we were so unprepared. We didn't apply sunscreen or bring water with us. At least, they had water stations everywhere.

I was so famished after walking that we fast tracked our garden hopping to find the in-house restaurant. I ordered the biggest burger I could find and ate it as fast as I could. It was delicious!

I highly recommend setting aside a couple of hours just exploring the gardens. Pack snacks, water, and wear comfortable shoes (unlike me!).
