Cathedral of Córdoba

September 8, 2013

I still have a lot of backlogged posts from Spain. So here goes..
Now back to the Mosque–Cathedral of Córdoba. It used to be a church then mosque that got divided between Muslims and Christians. It's a really interesting building because you have a mosque and a church inside the building. It's 2-in-1 so it's very interesting.
The line to get the ticket and to enter the Cathedral was quite long but they only have a certain amount of people they let in at certain times but it was still crowded. Taking a picture inside was challenge because someone was always photobombing my shots.

I have never been inside a mosque before so for me the architecture was really interesting. I loved the columns which are made up of jasper, onyx, marble, and granite.  856 columns in total!
