Naples National Archaeological Museum

After visiting Herculaneum, I wanted to also visit the Archaeological Museum. It was a 10 minute walk from our Air bnb apartment so it was a small effort to visit it. We visited later on the day so it was pretty empty.

The museum contains artifacts from Pompeii, Herculaneum, and Stabiae. I finally got to read more about the artifacts I saw during my visit in Herculaneum. It filled in the blanks on what I saw there. And it was also nice to see some the artifacts that came from Pompeii. 

I was very impressed with the marble statues displayed on the main floor inside the museum. I felt like a dwarf in comparison to the statues.


If by any chance, you don't make it to visit Herculaneum or Pompeii, you can always come to the museum to get a glimpse of it.
